At Rewrite Anywhere – AI Writing Assistant & Text Rewriter (a product by Keshora AI), we believe that your digital workspace should be secure, helpful, and highly respectful of your privacy. We process text on-demand and offer granular control over your stored history.

What We Do

  • Provide contextual on-page AI rewrites.
  • Store a secure history of your rewrites for your side-panel.
  • Encrypt all communication in transit.
  • Give you buttons to delete any/all data instantly.

What We Never Do

  • We never sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
  • We never log keystrokes or run silent background trackers.
  • We never use your text inputs to train AI models.
  • We never track your general browsing history.

Information We Collect

To provide account authentication, limit checks, and rewrite history synchronization, we collect the following minimal data points:

Chrome Extension Permissions

To run directly inside your Chrome Browser and offer contextual overlays, AI Rewrite Anywhere requires specific permissions. Here is the technical justification for each scope:

activeTab

Active Tab Access

Allows the extension to read the text you explicitly select on the page and place the floating ✨ rewrite button next to it. This permission only triggers when you interact with the page.

contextMenus

Right-Click Integration

Used to append the "AI Rewrite" choices (Grammar, Professional, Simplify, etc.) to your native browser right-click menu, letting you trigger actions quickly without opening the side panel.

storage

Local Storage

Stores your preferences, selected models, and your JWT authentication tokens directly on your local machine so you don't have to log in repeatedly.

identity

Google Identity

Authenticates your account smoothly with Google Sign-in to sync your settings and premium subscriptions.

scripting

Content Injection

Required to render the sleek rewrite overlay, load dialog boxes, and display hotkeys directly inside the pages you are editing.

sidePanel

Chrome Side Panel

Enables the native side panel in Google Chrome to let you browse your paginated rewrite history and adjust models alongside your work.

Third-Party Integrations & Subprocessors

We work with trusted services to authenticate, process, and bill your account. Your data is sent only to the following subprocessors:

AI APIs (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) Zero Data Training

All rewrites are routed securely through our server API to verified AI providers. We configure these connections to ensure they do not train their foundation models on your submitted text. Inputs are processed strictly on-the-fly.

Google Drive (drive.file) Optional Export

If you connect Google Drive to export your history, the extension requests a restricted scope. Access is limited strictly to files/folders created by this specific Extension. We cannot view, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.

Razorpay / Stripe PCI-DSS Compliant

Subscription payments are handled entirely by secure gateway interfaces. We never view, collect, or store your credit card credentials. All transactions are securely processed by Stripe or Razorpay.

Google OAuth Auth Gateway

Authenticates your identity and sends us your email and name to verify your registration. Governed by Google's Privacy Policies.

Data Retention & User Control

You have full, absolute control over the information you store on our servers and locally on your browser.

Clear History

You can delete individual rewrite items or wipe your entire rewrite history with one click inside the extension's side-panel settings. This sends a wipe query to our MongoDB database, purging those items immediately.

Local App Clean

Uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's site storage instantly clears your local preference configs, JWT tokens, and client IDs from your device.

Account Erasure

You can request complete deletion of your Google-linked profile, subscription details, and all metrics. Email us at keshoraai@gmail.com and your profile will be removed within 48 hours.

Privacy Policy for Rewrite Anywhere – AI Writing Assistant & Text Rewriter

This Privacy Policy describes how Keshora AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, processes, and discloses your information, including personal information, in connection with your access to and use of the "Rewrite Anywhere – AI Writing Assistant & Text Rewriter" Chrome Extension and its backend service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

1.1 User Profile Information

When you register or log in using Google OAuth, we receive and store your email address, unique Google Identifier, and profile name. We use this information to authenticate you, configure your plan tier, and manage your access limits.

1.2 Selection & AI Prompts

To rewrite content using artificial intelligence, the extension reads the text selections that you choose. This text is sent to our servers to query LLM APIs (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini). We store the inputs and outputs (Rewrite History) in our MongoDB database under your user account for your personal dashboard retrieval. We do not inspect this data except for database backup operations.

1.3 Telemetry & Analytics

We may store technical metrics such as total daily query volumes, active models used, and feature trigger volumes to balance server resource loads. This data is handled in an aggregated, anonymous format.

2. Use of Information

We use, store, and process information to: (a) provide, operate, and optimize the rewrite extension; (b) verify subscriptions and manage free usage rates; (c) serve search and paginated logs on your side-panel; and (d) provide customer support.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in these instances:

  • AI Services: Text inputs are sent to third-party LLM providers (Groq, OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) under strict API privacy covenants. The text is not retained by them or used to train their algorithms.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Our databases and application servers are hosted on premium, secure cloud service providers (e.g. MongoDB Atlas) that maintain high levels of encryption and security credentials.
  • Payment Processors: We use Razorpay and Stripe to process subscription payments. They enforce PCI-DSS standards. We never receive or store your raw payment cards.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all network traffic, token-based authorization (JWTs), and database firewall boundaries. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, so we encourage setting secure Google account parameters.

5. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for or directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

6. Your Rights and Contact

Under applicable regulations, you have the right to access, export, modify, or erase your account data. You can delete your text history directly inside the Extension, or request complete profile erasure by contacting support.
